POKEMON DIAMOND AND PEARL

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were released in Australia on June 21st 2007. The games are for the Nintendo DS and introduced us to the new world of Sinnoh bringing 107 new Pokemon with it, many being new evolutions and pre-evolutions of previous Pokemon due to the strange magnetic fields Sinnoh lets off.

The game begins with you choosing to play as either Lucas or Dawn.

You then get into a tight situation with your rival who you name which leads you to use one of three Pokemon found in Professor Rowan's breif case.

You may be wondering what is so different about Diamond and Pearl to Ruby and Sapphire well below are a list of improvements.

Graphics wise the game has been given a face lift with 3D buildings to give the over-world view greater effect.

Certain Pokemon have different Sprites depending on things such as gender or their location of capture.

These games bring back an old feature from Gold and Silver, Day and Night but Diamond and Pearl have taken it a step further with five stages of the day.

The DS Touch screen is used outside of battle as a Poketch (PokeWatch) which has 22 applications available with a few more which Nintendo will officially enable at a later date.

Just like in Emerald and Crystal, the sprites in Diamond and Pearl are animated, though the animation is really just two sprites replayed to give an animated effect unlike Crystal.

Diamond and Pearl use Wi-Fi for such features as the Global Trading Station and on-line battles and trades.

Team Aqua and Magma have resolved their issues and Team Rocket are just to plain lazy to travel to Sinnoh so here comes Team Galactic. Every Pokemon game needs a evil organization but these psychos want to destroy the world and create a new one using the power of time and space.
