ATTACKS WITH OVERWORLD EFFECTS

There are a total of 8 HM's in Diamond and Pearl, each can be taught to an unlimited number of Pokemon as they never disappear. Below is a list of each and their locations.

#01 Cut
Location: Eterna City
Effect: Can cut small trees.

#02 Fly
Location: Galactic Warehouse
Effect: Fly to any Pokemon Center you have visited.

#03 Surf
Location: Celestic Town
Effect: Surf on water.

#04 Strength
Location: Lost Tower
Effect: Moves boulders.

#05 Defog
Location: Great Marsh
Effect: Removes heavy fog.

#06 Rock Smash
Location: Oreburgh Gate
Effect: Breaks small rocks.

#07 Waterfall
Location: Sunnyshore City
Effect: Allows you to swim up waterfalls.

#08 Rock Climb
Location: Route 217
Effect: Allows you to climb rocky mountain walls.



There are also other attacks that have effects outside of combat, this attacks are Technical Machines and once used are gone forever. Below is a list of each and their locations.

TM28 Dig
Location Ruin Maniac Cave
Effect: When in a cave, this will return you to the entrance.

TM70 Flash
Location: Oreburgh Gate, Veilstone Department Store
Effect: Previously a HM, Flash lights up dark caves.


The following are attacks Pokemon can learn levelling up which also have effects outside of combat. Below is a list of each and their locations.

Teleport
Type: Psychic
Effect: teleports you to the last Pokemon Center you visited, does not work in caves or buildings.

TM Sweet Scent
Type: Normal
Effect: Attracts wild Pokemon to you in grass.
