POKEMON JOHTO JOURNEYS



Ash follows Gary to the new region of Johto which of course is based on the Gold and Silver Pokemon games. In Johto Ash must obtain 8 badges to get to the Johto League and take a second shot at being a Pokemon Master. In this new land lives 100 new Pokemon for Ash to discover and here is a list on what his main experiences during the first series in Johto.

Important Events in the series include:

Ash, Misty and Brock see a Suicune purifying a lake.

Ash meets Prof Birch as well as the three starter Pokemon after saving a Totodile from Team Rocket.

Ash captures a Heracross, his first Johto Pokemon.

Gary reappears before Ash with a new Hoothoot.

Snubbull is introduced and then makes several more appearances throughout the series.

Ash captures a wild Chikorita who at first was stubborn and independent but then falls in love with Ash literally.

Ash beats Falkner and wins the Zephyr Badge.

Ash leaves Charizard in the Charsific Valley so it can become stronger.

Ash captures a Cyndaquil.

Brock captures a Pineco and Ash gives the GS Ball to Kurt and we never hear of it again.

Ash gets the Hive Badge after beating Bugsy.

Jesse accidentally trades her Lickitung with a Wobbuffet at a Pokemon Swap Meet Festival.

Ash gives Squirtle to Officer Jenny so it can assist in fire fighting with the Squirtle Squad.

Ash and Misty both try to catch a wild Totodile, it becomes unclear who’s PokeBall actually manages to capture it so the two battle for it. Ash eventually wins and is awarded the Pokemon though Misty’s Poliwag evolves into Poliwhirl giving her a prize after all.

Ash captures a Shiny Noctowl.
