POKEMON ORANGE ISLANDS



While traveling the Orange Islands, Brock left the group to study Pokemon with Professor Ivy who he felt liked him more then a friend. Tracey, a Pokemon watcher joined Ash and Misty as they traveled the islands on a Lapras. A trainer’s mission should they choose to accept it is to collect four sea shells which are like badges and with these they are then able to battle the Orange Island Champion Drake.

Important Events in the series include:

Ash and Misty pick up the GS Ball from Professor Ivy while Brock chooses to stay.

Tracey joins the group and Ash captures a baby Lapras they find being treated badly by a group of men.

Ash beats Sissy and wins the Coral Eye Badge

Tracey reveals he has a Marill who makes it’s first anime appearance.

Togepi uses Metronome for the first time.

Ash beats Danny who Misty has a thing for winning Ash wins the Sea Ruby Badge.

Ash captures a Snorlax.

Tracy captures a Syther.

The group meets Lorelei from the Kanto Elite Four but in the anime she is known as Prima.

Ash beats Rudy who has a thing for Misty winning him the Spike Sell Badge.

Ash shows his love for Charizard as he tries to defrost him making Charizard respect and obey him.

Ash experiences his first double battle with the Gym leader Luana. Ash reminds her of her son which is how they met. Ash wins and is given the Jade Star Badge.

Misty captures a Poliwag who helps her find a special sea weed to heal Tracey and Ash of being paralyzed. The Poliwag eventually becomes a Politoad.

Ash battles Drake in the Orange Island Championship which he wins with only his Pikchu left. Drake’s signature Pokemon is his Dragonite.

The group finds Lapras’ family and Ash releases it so it can return to them after the group teaches a ship of pirates a lesson.

Ash and Misty go back to Pallet Town where they find Ash helping Ash’s mum. Brock was told by Professor Ivy she did not love him.

Ash shows the GS Ball to Professor Oak who then tells Ash he needs to take it to Johto for further study. Tracey stays to study with professor Oak.
