POKEMON BATTLE REVOLUTION

Pokemon Battle Revolution

Australian Release: November 22nd 2007

Pokemon Battle Revolution is the first (of more I'm sure) Pokemon game for the Nintendo Wii. It continues from the Pokemon Stadium series on Nintendo 64, it also has a few features from Pokemon Colosseum and XD on the Nintendo Gamecube like music and the Battle Points system.

Pokemon Battle Revolution

This is the first game for the Wii to conect to the Nintendo DS and was the first on-line Wii game for Japan (December 14th 2006) and the US (June 25th 2007). You use your DS to tranfer Pokemon and it can also be used as a controller so your opponent cannot see your attacks.

You play by first customising your own Trainer from six basic models listed below. Once your trainer is created, you then get to create phrases for your trainer to say during battles. A new feature that was never in the Japanese version is one that many people have hoped for in Pokemon games, the ability to change your character's skin tone. This feature was added in the American version of the game and will surely appear in the PAL version too.

Your trainer once created is saved on your Battle Pass (like your Trainer Card) along with six Pokemon. These six Pokemon can either be imported from Diamond and Pearl which gives you the advantage or you can choose from a range of already selected teams of six Pokemon.

You can unlock many new features in the game like more accessories and clothes for your trainer and heaps of Battle Pass designs which makes your game very personal and different from others.

You are able to store your Battle Pass on your Wiimote so just by taking your control over to a friends house, you can use your own Pokemon and Trainer to battle them on their game.

Pokemon Battle Revolution

The single player mode has your trainer preparing to face off against ten Leaders each at their own different colosseum. At each colosseum, you must first battle a selected group of trainers to test you are worthy to face the Colosseum Leader. You have eight different levels of difficulty with each colosseum to keep you going then once that is complete, three certain Colosseums present exciting changes to extend your game play experience further more.

Wi-Fi allows you to choose from two modes, you can have friend code battles which is just like your Diamond and Pearl games where you register your friends and if you are both on-line together you can fight each other. The other feature is one many hope will appear in the next Pokemon DS game, random battles. Random battling will pair you up with someone around the world who is roughly the same skill level as you. The only downside to Random Battles is you could be matched with someone who's whole team consists of Legendaries while yours doesn't.

These are the basics of Pokemon Battle Revolution so expect some detailed pages up soon to prepare you for Australian release.
