![]() ![]() Pokemon Platinum was released in Japan on September 13th 2008, the US on March 23rd, Australia on May 14th and Europe on May 23rd. This Diamond and Pearl remake is basically the same but with new features and added improvements. Both Dialga and Palkia are available to capture in Platinum at Lv. 70 and Team Galactic are now after Giratina in the Distortion World. ![]() Sinnoh is suddenly hit with a cold wave explaining why the protagonists have new winter clothing along with patches of snow all over the region. Shaymin is able to turn into it's Sky Forme when and holding the Gracidea Flower however turns back to normal when in the PC or after 8PM. The "Distortion World" is positioned above the Spear Pillar and contains fully utilized 3D graphics and is where Giratina turns into it's Origin Forme. All three Regis from Hoenn are available by once a special Regigigas is received from Nintendo. Shaymin's new Sky Forme is Grass/Flying type and is 40cm tall and weighs 5.4kg. The Poketch has also been updated with a new look and now has a back button if you happen to go past the app you want. ![]() The fight against Team Galactic along with their hide out has been improved giving you a slightly new adventure this time. - The Battle Frontier has returned with five facilities, Battle Tower, Factory, Castle, Arcade and Hall. - Three Wi-Fi mini games have been added which allows up to 20 people to play over the internet, one game has you flicking berries into Swallot's mouth, another has you trying to keep Mime Jr. rolling on a ball without falling off and the last has you pumping up a Wobbuffet balloon as fast as possible. - The GTS has been completely upgraded and is now apparently called the "Global Terminal" since it no longer only focuses on trading, you can now also record Pokemon battles and send them to others via Wi-Fi using you Battle Recorder. ![]() - Giratina only changes in to it's Origin Forme while in the Distortion World or holding the Griseous Orb. - Sky Forme Shaymin has the Serene Grace ability while Origin Giratina has Levitate. - All 4th generation and Sinnoh Dex Pokemon have new sprites and the back sprites of all Pokemon now animate. - Charon is a new character who works for Team Galactic while Codename Looker is a member of the International Police trying to stop Team Galactic. - Wi-Fi in the Pokemon Center is now like the Union Room where you are represented by a sprite and can interact with others. ![]() |
